UNITECH's design and manufacturing flexibility also means that our custom designed air handlers operate extremely efficiently. With the choice of a wide range of insulation materials, high-efficiency motors, a wide range of sophisticated control options and the selection of low pressure drop components, energy costs can be kept to a minimum.

UNITECH's air handling units are extremely air tight, with a typical leakage rate of one percent at four inch design static pressure (standard commercial units may leak as much as ten percent of their conditioned air into the atmosphere). Tighter cabinets can also be manufactured. Air leaks result in significantly higher utility bills, especially when HVAC equipment is installed outdoors. To ensure high quality, our customers also have the option of specifying a witnessed factory leakage test.
